OMG Burrowing python

ok long time no talk been busy but i couldnt pass this girl/guy up for 20 bucks at the local shop. the info on them seems limited anyone know more than the lillte bit online like how to sex them properly etc

if calabar, i think they got re-designated as a boa, related to the sand boas, sweet animals though ive been looking for one for a long time.

Calibars are the only burrowing pythons I know of, Didnt know they were redesignated, When I worked for a wholesale company we imported them as pythons.... ne who they are a neat species the way they curl up.... The thing with calibars is they eat alot at once....In the wild they will wrap up a whole litter of baby rodents and eat what they want.....

There is Mexican Burrowing Python as well.
Is from monotypic family Loxocemidae... It is an only One American burrowing Python...
I really wanna get pair of them...

I had a pair of them like 10 years ago, almost certain they were wild caught. Interesting snakes but I don't think they ate for me the entire time I had them and they were very reclusive. Not very satisfying to keep, that's why I got rid of them. Just my opinion though. I've never kept Sand Boas either but a lot of people love them, I'm sure they're very similar in behavior.
