3 babies daddys? Maybe something new? Here is the update you requested.

I first mentioned this boy in this thread... http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ny-Serious-DUW

To make a long story short, I paired a female pastel (3 years old, first time breeder) with a cinnamon and a spider. 4 eggs were laid. 1 normal, 1 cinny, 1 bumble bee, and this thing. Now my only other male breeder this year was a pastel. So it is certainly possible that I screwed up somewhere in my breeding records and also paired her with the male pastel. Obviously the clutch was fathered by both the spider and the cinny... but has anyone ever heard of a 4 egg clutch with 3 babies daddy's before?!

Whatever this thing is, the yellow is getting more and more yellow with each shed. It is eating like a champ and has already shed two more times. The lips and fire say super pastel, but the lack of fading on the back contradicts that. I compared it a couple days ago in person with 2 super pastels, and this thing was a totally different color yellow then the super pastels I was comparing it to. It doesn't have any of the darkening specks yet that you see on pastels... the ones that get bigger and darker as the snake grows.
    What do you think?

Here is the snake in question:

Here she is with one of my better pastels about the same age

Tim Bailey believes he's got five sires in a nine egg clutch... so it's possible to have three sires in your clutch.

Whether or not that is actually going on, I sure couldn't say. Part of me thinks maybe you just have an exceptional pastel. But I'm not sure I've ever seen one that exceptional before.

For sure, I'd consider it a keeper and see what comes from future breedings. Is it a boy or a girl? (Your post was rather confusing on that detail. )

Holy smokes. That snake really has better contrasting going on then a desert. That is a yellow I don't really ever recall seeing on any BP. Whatever the heck it is, congrats and keep us updated on future breedings!

Are you sure that the adults aren't het Hypo? That looks like a Pastel Hypo to me. I recently had a buddy pop out a Hypo Cinnamon from a pair of Cinnamons he bought from me that I never knew there was any Hypo involved in my original male Cinnamon.

x2 I think he is het hypo. He looks like my pastel het hypo girl. She retained 95% of her color and did not brown out as an adult. She also has the washed out head.
