I can't even see a bite...most likely it would be fine as is. You can put a little Neosporin (without any painkiller in it) on it...
Lucifer Sam, Siam cat...
Always sitting by your side,
Always by your side...
That cat's something I can't explain...

x2 .. just keep the cage clean too and I would use paper towels as substrate temporarily if you aren't already.

I'm having trouble seeing the bit also - like Sho said just pick up some normal polysporin (make sure it is non-medicated / no painkiller) and rub it on the snake like you would yourself. Clean bedding helps in the healing process, but this doesn't look like anything too worrisome.

Thanks, will buy Neosporin.
Here is a closer view of the bite. It is basically just 1 scale.

"It's just a flesh wound!" Seems like an appropriate quote...

I was afraid that it went deeper, I didn't know weanlings had such long tooths. I managed to hold the upper mouth off but the lower jaw I think was stuck in there during the bite.

rat pups dont have jaw power to bite like that. Rat pups eyes are still closed with TINY teeth.
My guess is it was a wean rat which can bite.

How long would you consider it a pup? It was already walking around and looking around by itself, but I could have sword seeing it still drink form it's mothers belly. Or maybe I was mistaken.
It wasn't until after the strike when I saw the tooth, wow it was so long, and this was the upper tooth, the lower was hidden from me and not accessible because of the way it was coiled.
After she ate, I didn't inspect her right away too because she was full, I only checked her out today and saw what I posted above.

rats can be weaned at 3.5 weeks old and will continue to nurse till thir 5 weeks old if given chance.
Once they start eating on their own thats when you know their teeth are strong enough to hurt snake.
