    Can't decide on feeder size

I'm not certain what size rats to buy for my spider. He's the smallest snake that I have.

So far he has eaten 3 "adult" mice, per the package labeling that I bought from the pet store, but I want him on rats. I'm buying online today and just am not certain what size to get him. He's pretty small and I've never seen a baby rat in person so don't know how it would compare in size. Do you think I should go with fuzzy rats or rat pups? It seems like my normal was as small as him a year ago, but I just don't remember what I bought. I'm not sure what he weighs. Can you tell by the pic what size I should buy for him?

Probably start with rat pups, and then go up as you feel comfortable. Also, you can weigh the rat in comparison to your bp, I have heard anywhere between 10-20% is fine.

If he is currently eating Adult Mice I would offer him Rat Pups as they are roughly the same size just to get him on to the Rats. After a few meals and depending on feeding response get him on Weanlings and go from there.

    For Comparison:
    Adult Mouse - 19g-25g
    Rat Pup - 20g-29g
    Rat Weanling - 30g-49g

yours looks to be about the same size as mine if not a little smaller (kinda hard to tell when coiled like that lol) and i just switched over to rats. at the pet store i tried picking out one of the smaller rat pups they have since they really dont have a very good selection, and it really was more of a weaned, and when i got home i weighed it in at 42 g and my bp is about 160 g so 25%. he took it but i could tell it was a little big for him since it left a pretty big lump in his gut which im not sure if its good or not but he seems fine so youll probably wanna get a smaller rat pup.
