This clutch was from my Faded Albino Het VPI Axanthic Male paired with my Het VPI Axanthic 66% Chance Het Albino Female. The female was a small girl at 1200g at the start of the 2011 season. I started pairing her in hopes it would stimulate her feeding response; unfortunately, that did not happen so she stayed about the same weight through the breeding season. In spite of this, she gave me 4 small but healthy eggs this morning, weighing a total of 283 grams (with her down to 831 grams after laying them). Hopefully her feeding response improves after laying these eggs so I can get her up to a very healthy size for next season. Anyway, all I'm really hoping to see in the clutch is an albino because I'll be thoroughly pleased if she proves out double het. If I get a snow from this though, I'll be ecstatic. I'm considering this one of my more exciting clutches of the season since the odds seem to be stacked against me. Wish me luck!
