My ball python shed his whole body FINE except for the top of his head...suggestions?

Hey guys BP newbie here. I just got a hatchling BP a little over a month ago and so far so good! With 5 successful frozen/thawed feedings! I am new here so I apologize in advance if this is the wrong thread for questions.

I work as a scientist and by nature I read everything I could about BP care, I live in a very dry climate (10% humidity) and I keep my BP cage at around 50%, I would have raised the humidity for him to shed better but I didn't even see it coming! No pink belly or blue eyes that I could notice, and I see him every day.

I just found him with every part of his body shed except the top of his head. I feel so bad for him. I don't know why he cant get that part to come off.

What would you guys suggest? I have read about different techniques for fixing bad sheds but I wasn't sure if it was different with the head of a BP. I know he is head shy and it looks like it is about to come off but if it doesn't should I take him to a vet or should I take care of it myself?

Thanks for all the help, I'm excited to join the BP community and learn from my mistakes.

No need for a expensive vet visit Just get a towel or a pillow case wet and let him slither through it for about 10-15 minutes, that should loosen the shed for him. If it doesnt come off outright in the towel or pillow case offer him a humid hide or mist his cage down pretty well and see if it comes off by morning.

Also, i had a problem with this a while ago like 2 weeks back. what i did was soaked him in lukewarm water and got an old (But Clean!) toothbrush, that had soft bristles. I rubbed his head gently backwards and it came off great. if u move slow they don't mind much. My BP is cool with me touching his head, as long as i move slowly. Hope this helps. GL!

P.S i would use the previous suggestions first. this is in case those dont work.

I don't think using a brush is a good idea but I'm not positive on that one. It just doesn't seem safe for some reason.
