My new tank has arrived and looks like I have to put my snakes migration on hold first. I may have made the tank too hot due to my design. You see here in the Philippines we normally have around 83f-85f during the day and at night we go down to 78-80. I monitored the temps of new tank for a couple of hours during the day yesterday (Aug 27), it seems I am at 90 almost all the time.
This would be too much right? Humidity is fine though. So I have moved the tank inside a room where the aircondition is always on, I will monitor the temps again, if temps go down to 85-87 the I will put the tank indoors instead of keeping them outdoors on my pateo.
Or would it be ok to keep them in 90 tanks 24/7 witht the right humidity?
As of now in an Airconditioned room, it went as low as 75f when I had the aircon on at full blast in 1 small room just to test how cold it could get. Moved it a general area of the house now it's is at about 78-79, and it's night time so that should be alright, I will check them temps again later, for daytime temps. If they go about 80-83 would that be alright to keep them in an Aircon area then as long as I can keep the right temps and humidity?
These are the vents of my tank, 5 holes on each glass side
If you can see, the gap also on the door and the frame leaves space for a lot of air.
It would be hard to add holes on the glass because everything has already been siliconed together. what do you suggest guys?
