    Tub size for adult BP's?

Thinking about building my own rack, would sterilite 28 qt tubs be too small for adult BP's? Every answer counts, just cant decide between the 28 and the 41...

The rack i just bought from animal plastics uses 34x16x6 (41qt) for adults. Idk if other people use 28 qt though.

Depends on the size of ur adults. Males or females?
Males most of the time will be fine in 28qt. My females from 1800grams and up go in a 32qt-41qt. And if u plan on breeding i say 41qts so they can thermoregulate and keep distance from eachother if need be.

28 quarts are fine for you first year breeding females between 1200 and 1500 grams, but I would suggest going with the larger size since they are not going to stay that size for long. As stated above the 41 qt. would be best since that size will be utilized for way longer then a 28 quart would.

I prefer 41qt for my adult BPs. I've seen many people prefer other sizes, but this works for me and that's what I'm sticking with.

I use 28's for all males, and some females, the big girls go in 41's

Re: Tub size for adult BP's?

Sooo what I am thinking is two different racks, one for my males and one for my females. Just a quick question, whats the normal male to female ratio you guys have in your collection? Because one male can seed several females right?

I agree, I love 41qt tubs. I can use two hides and a water bowl. I have yet to have problems with feeding in a larger tub. We will see as I get more and more snakes up to that size...
