    how old is too old?

    kind of a newb when it comes to breeding. how old is too old? im looking into a pair and the male is an 03 and the female is an 06 bred once. not sure how old is too old for that male tho.

    From what I've gathered from other threads like this, they can technically breed for as long as they are alive. I somewhat recall people talking about a 20 y/o female ball python still having clutches to this day. If someone has the info on that it'd be awesome to post it

    i got a girl who i got from a freind as far from he know this snake is 13 -15 years old and she is still breeding and i have another freind who has a 23 year old girl who still breeds and when she does she makes 12+ eggs

    It is thought that most snakes, once they reach breding age/size, can reproduce until they die. If they seem healthy to you, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be bred. Of course, any snakes that don't seem to do well during the breeding/laying process should be retired, but if all is well and you want to breed them, I say go for it!
