    Ratapalooza & IDs (Image Heavy)

Hey guys! So I started my colony with 1.2 adults, then bought a mom and her 9 babies along with 11 small rats. Currently I have 1.3 adults, 7 fuzzies, and 6 smalls..I'll probably keep 3 or 4 fuzzies (interesting colors) and 5 smalls.

Now, what do you think about colors here? The first trio looks like an agouti hooded male, a PEW and a black berkshire..I think.

    Sealpoint Siamese mom?

    Babies!

What do these guys look like? The three most interesting with a white for comparison. I love the light brown (fawn?) one.

    Black and..chocolate berkshires?

    Spotties!

And the smalls. A PEW dumbo male (keeper) and the most interesting half-champagne female. She has a horizontal line between her eyes and down her sides, everything under it is white.

    I love rats.

    Too cute!

My daughter raises rats and I just adore them when they are so small and cute. Of course, her bigger rats are lovely, but I never get tired of squealing over the tiny little baby ratties!

That oddball in the group of babies under the siamese mom, the one if the very top of the photo with the white tummy and beige blanket over his head and back is going to be special when he grows up.

Thanks guys. The oddball is the fourth down in the lined-up shot, sort of an orange-brown, is that the one you mean? He/she is pretty special to me! It's not a color I see very often. <3

    I think so.

It is hard to tell from the change of angle, maybe the first picture is an illusion ?

Anyhow, in the first picture of the pile of babies, the only one facing the camera at the top of the pile seems to have a white tummy and face, and then an orangy/beige blanket over the back of his head and down his back. If it is marked like that, I would love to see it as is grows.

Correct on these 3 if the black girl has a white tummy.

    Sealpoint Siamese mom?
    A Pink eyed Siamese

Black, Agouti, PEW and fawn, very nice.

    Black and..chocolate berkshires?
    Black and agouti.

    Spotties!
    Spotties?
They may have spots on the skin but those probably won't show when they fur up or molt.

Champagne is a color trait and you can't have half of a champagne, that would be gory
Marked champagne maybe, might be hooded or berkshire champagne but the picture is too close up to tell.

    I love rats.

    Thanks guys.

snakesRkewl: Sweet. I realized the one baby was agouti after looking over the photo and realizing the fur was ticked. And I was just calling them spotties as a general group term. I know champagne is a color, I was just describing her appearance..not in rat terms, so she's probably a champagne varieberk/berkshire. I'm in love with the fawn baby!
