    Light spots?

I searched and found a couple of threads on this, but none with any real answers.

A few of my guys have developed a light spot here and there over the past several months. I wasn't really concerned until one of my axanthic girls shed today and all of a sudden had a lot of light areas.

Temps are pretty much spot on, though it does get into the mid-80s in the snake room some days before I can get in there and air it out. Her shed wasn't in one solid piece, but close enough. No stuck shed or anything, and the scales look fine... just bleached. Any ideas?

I don't have definitive answers for you, but if my snakes started obtaining lighter spots I would be thrilled and hope it is genetic. I don't think anything is wrong with them especially if she is Axanthic, hopefully others will pitch in with their thoughts as well.

    By the way, gorgeous BP!

    Re: Light spots?

I don't think anyone knows exactly why or what causes it, but it does occassionally happen. Sometimes it may happen over several sheds and sometimes it can happen all at once. The color should return after a few sheds. Here is a thread that may help:
