    The RI Thread

I see so many posts with people asking about what to do if their snake has a respiratory infection, or how to tell, or what medication.. etc. etc. that I thought I would start a thread where people could tell their experiences with RI, and it might help others.

It would be helpful to share the symptoms your snake had, if you took it to the vet, how long before you took it, what the vet prescribed, and how long you gave medication for, did you change husbandry practices, how long before you saw improvement, if you saw improvement, did the snake get cured after one visit or did you have to go back, did you need other medications, did the snake not make it, etc. etc. I think the more stories in one place the more help it would be to people looking for information on this topic.

I actually just started giving my male lesser baytril. Into the second week and he seems to be getting a bit more bubbly.

But a friend that has experience in it say he is basically expelling the sickness and to keep cleaning his cage and giving him the antibiotics as directed.
