Keeping temp probe in place
How should I attach my temperature probe to my UTH so my snake doesn't keep moving it all over the place. My first thought was possibly some silicone, but I'd have to completely empty the tank, keep my snake in another enclosure and then wait a couple days for it to completely dry. (just to be safe, I can't imagine silicone on a snake is healthy.) I know tape in the enclosure is very dangerous. Any suggestions?

I hope the UTH is on the outside of the tank...
Thermostat probe should go directly on the heat source, thermometer probe can be hot glued down inside the enclosure.

Yep, the UTH is on the outside, with those black rubber things lifting the tank off the surface. The UTH is also controlled by a rheostat right now until I can order a thermostat. For some reason I never thought of hot glue, thanks!

If the UTH is on the outside, how would the snake move the probe around?

The actual UTH is on the outside and my thermometer probe is on the inside to monitor the temp of the glass right above the heater but below the substrate. I like to know that temp just in case my snake decides to burrow a little

The thermometer probe...not thermostat probe (which is on the outside with the UTH).

I use aluminum foil tape to secure down my heat source. I then secure the probe directly on the heat source with the same tape. You can buy a roll at any hardware store or reptilebasics.com. You will have to set your thermostat or rheostat slightly higher, but this way you will never have to worry about the inhabitant moving the probe. I would not recommend keep the probe inside the tank. It makes it a pain to properly clean the enclosure and you always run the risk of it getting moved with time, no matter how well you secure it.
