my bp did that a couple feeds ago. ppl on here said itll happen if the prey is too small. so the next time i just got a bigger mouse and he ate it normally. but i felt the same way trying to watch mine eat it that way. it didnt look to comfortable for him

My girl did the same thing the first time I gave her an adult mouse and moved her up from the hoppers. She had killed it but she ate it fanny first and it looked much more difficult than it had to.... lol

I thought my girl was going to do that with the hopper mouse I gave her. She had it by the back, but after killing it, she let go and started eating it head first like they normally do.
Since she easily ate two hoppers I'm going to feed her a fuzzy rat next since they're a little bigger.
It does look awkward to eat them backwards though. XD I thought it looked awkward for them to eat them regularly, but I suppose the snakes think it's awkward for us to have to chew our food.
