How much how often? (another feeding question)
jackson is eating live rat fuzzies. I've only fed him twice so far, and the feeding schedule so far is every five days. he's a voracious little eater, and I'm wondering if he isn't needing more than that. how much should I be giving him, and how often? is it possible to overfeed your snake? any good resources you can recommend on the subject?
also, he just will not eat pre-killed, but i do want to switch him over, because pretty soon here his food is gonna get bigger and a bit sharper. is it likely that it might get easier as he gets older, or perhaps more difficult? Thanks!

About as big as the largest part of the snake, can be slightly bigger I think. It is possible to overfeed I think, but I wouldn't worry about it for a while. Every 5 days with this size is fine while young.

So I don't need to start yet another thread on this, I'm thinkin of movin my boy from mouse hoppers (every 7 days) to either rat fuzzies or sm mice (opinions on which are welcome), but when I watch him eat his mouth looks at capacity, yet he'll cruise by the front of the tank right after eating on his way to hot hide and I don't see a lump anywhere in him, amd he's only gained 10-15 grams in 5 weeks (83.3 empty now) Suggestions?

10-15% (leaning towards 10) of empty body weight, every 5 days. A 7 day schedule is also fine.

Don't go by mouth. Go by width of the snake at the largest part, or as lizard pants suggested, weight can be a useful tool. However some snakes can be naturally longer/shorter and weigh less because of it, but use your better judgment.

I got him as a baby at a expo, that was 5 weeks ago. He was measured 2 weeks ago at 18" (i'd check now but its his day of rest), and yesterday he weighed in at 83.3 before eating.0

Jackson is about 4 months, the rat fuzzy looked bigger than the fattest part of his body to me, but he ate it with no hesitation! I need to get a scale, I still dont have one.
