To breed, or not to breed? What do you think?

So I need as much advice as humanly possible. I move out for my second year of college in 2 weeks. I've been wanting to get into breeding my bp's for what seems like for-ever! The big question, should I? What I need to know from you is:

If I do it right, could I potentially come out even after selling my offspring? I'm not looking to make any money off this. I just think it would be truly fantastic to make some cool babies. But I cant afford to be loosing thousands.

    How time consuming it is?

Should I wait until I am in an established area? (I.e. Plan to move 800 miles after I graduate)

Any advice is certainly appreciated. Also, thanks to all of you for all of you help!

Breeding is time consuming, and expensive. It can potentially take up alot of space. Even if your breeding 1 female she can lay inbetween 4-13 eggs. Incubator, space for each baby, food for each, etc. I personally would wait. It will be much more rewarding when You can devote all of the time and space that it deserves to it.

and then you'd have to worry about selling, and what to do if they don't. And when you move 800 miles, how to transport them all safely.

If I were you, I'd invest in some baby/juvi future breeders, raise them up and by the time you move they should be breeding size.

I would wait until you have somewhere to have them all settled instead of having to move them around

im in college and im doing it. but i also have a house and my roommates were nice enough to give me two rooms haha but if you can do it right.. there is no reason not to. im lucky enough to live in the middle of the whole repticon circut so selling babies wont be terribly hard but i also have a lot of time on the weekends to do all this

I agree with llovelace, buy those nice female morphs you have always wanted. Take it slow, enjoy the ride. By the time you get to where you want to be you will be within a years time to breed.
