idea on sling viv,hmmmm
ive seen some neato faunariums for slings but was thinking of something a lil different.
ok look at these pics and let your imagination go with a little sling habitat.adding screen to the major open gaps.
this ones neat and its glass!3.4l sounds bigger than a critter carrier though and way too much space.maybe for a juvie?

or the black version of this other 1.5gallon.

i know theyd work for scorplings but ts are more crafty and more sensitive to air circulation.i was thinking of putting the a.brock sling in one for awhile and one of the c.sculpt slings in another side by side.
what say you?

Both space wise seem fine to use with like a 2" or so tarantula. The first one does not look like the lid locks. Lid appears to be on hinges near the light but does not snap shut or anything which I personally do not feel comfortable with using something like even with new world T's and if your thinking of putting an OBT in there I would definitely pass unless you figure out a way to get the lid to snap shut I would pass on the first one. The second way seems bigger as I can see the measurements given. The first one only tells you how big it is in liters so I imagine it is smaller but I don't know that for sure. If they are plastic you can melt or drill extra small holes on the sides for cross ventilation if needed. If the 6" height on the second one seems too tall you can always just add more substrate in it to get it to work.

If I calculated it correctly I think the first one is actually bigger. There are 4 litres to a gallon, so the first one is 0.85 gallons and on the site it says the second one is 0.5 gallons?
Either way I think both would look really cool, but like Boanerges said, the second one looks like the lid is more secure. The other thing is that the hole on the second one is bigger, which means you could choose to provide more or less ventilation, and the second one is also plastic, so if you wanted you could melt even more ventilation holes, whereas with the first you wouldn't be able to cause it's glass.

ill look at em in person and see if theres other modifications i could do to make the lids fasten to the enclosures.if not oh well.just an idea to scratch.
1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liters
