    Talking My tegu

    Just got him today, he is already, digging drinking and burrowing. Really great colors and patterns as we'll.

    Congrats! I don't know a whole lot about Tegus (Lizards Period), but I am always happy to see someone sharing a new addition!

    The local reptile storefront by me has a beautiful big Tegu (Reddish) female, wife says no though!

    Oh god no! This tank is a 75g and as you can see has plenty space for a hatchling. Look how small he is compared to the basking platform and then look at the cage pic with the platform to get an idea of how much space he has.

    I plan to give him an 8x4 by next summer. We'll it really depends on whether or not he hibernates. Either way he won't be spending over 8months in there.

    Good! I have seen way To many people get in over their heads with tegus and monitors.

    Yeah i hear you. But i did my research and actually keep a fair amount of reptiles, i am also a dedicated member on a tegu forum. I know exactly how big and how fast these guys can get.

    Thanks and its actually about 5-6" all around which is plenty good for him. But i was thinking of adding more being the hibernation season is about to roll around.
