    What does this mean?

I purchased a normal female baby last Friday, fed her on Saturday and yesterday i was just cleaning her poop because she did it in her hide. So when i moved her over she began to move her tail left and right very quickly. I knew she wasnt happy but i just wanted to clean her poop. She began to strike 3-4 times. I know she might be stressed out because she hasnt settled in her new tub yet. Just wanted to make sure that is normal. I currently have her in a 27qt tub but thats the only tub i have right now. I put fake plants and crumpled up newspaper just to make it a little more crowded in there for her. I probably just got to give her time but thanks in advance.

It sounds to me like the snake is just stressed out. I know you stated that the 27 quart container is all you have right now but the size could be really stressing her out. I would definitely give her more time to settle in. Do you have two identical snug fitting hides for her? Ball pythons like to be nice and snug when they are hiding.

I'm glad to hear that you have two hides. The fact that she is possibly going into shed would make her a little stressed as well because they can get a little grumpy at this time.

I agree. It just sounds like she didn't want to be bothered. The fact that she has already poo'ed is a good thing! Just give her a week or 2 to get used to her new home before you bother her (other then feeding and cleaning)

It's funny, everyone always says they get stressed during shed... that's when mine is calmest.

My only point is, there is no normal.
