my firends ball python 12ft + I think

My sister is in this picture, this is my friends ball python the fat guy with the warping around his foot, its his snake, i believe he keeps it in a 50gal tank too.

how old do you think this snake is and if the cops see it could they do anything?

He also has a 10ft red tail boa witch is bad and bites. he was once bitten by this snake right after he had feed it.

what are your thoughts on this have you ever seen something this big as a ball python and how old do you think it is?

That is a burmese not a ball. They can get up to 20 feet depending on sex.

    are you a troll?

    if not...

ummm. that is a burmese python, which is probably going to get 13+ feet long and be about 150lbs.

he should NOT have his snake outside like that!!!!!! stuff like that is what gives reptile people a bad name. and yes, the cops could probably call animal control of some sort, and they would probably destroy the snake. where i live at least, these are on a controlled species list and you need a permit to own them.

Re: my firends ball python 12ft + I think

lol is this a serious thread?! if so thats just sad. First of all thats not a ball, its a burm. Second a 50gal for a burmese at that size is waaay too small. And yes, if the cops sees or someone reports it because they are afraid, the cops can take action to an extent depending what your state/city laws are.

Im not usaually rude to people on here but your friend shouldnt be within 100ft of herps if he is THAT uneducated and irresponsible.

a troll is somebody that comes on forums and purposely asks stupid questions and posts things that are meant to infuriate/rile up other members, lol.

sorry if you're not intending to do that!

and i believe in New York (the entire state) burms are completely illegal. that's just what a quick google search came up with, i could be wrong.

i am from new york and they are illegal in the entire state. you cannot get a permit for it unless he filed during the grandfather period which expired years ago.
