    Havabator temp probe placement?

A buddy of mine asked a question which I didn't feel comfortable answering as I don't have experience with hovabators. He purchased the waffle style heating hovabator with the "screw" temp adjustment, he asked where to place the probe. As I have a homemade I have my probe on the inside hanging in the center to get ambient temps. I also have temp gun I use to take readings from time to time. For the hovabator do you place the lead from the digital prob on the bottom with the eggs? Hanging from the top? Or elsewhere? Thanks guys!
