Burmese pricing
I am planing on going to a reptile show on the 14th, and I was wondering what I should expect to pay for either a normal or albino male burmese. I have seen normals on kingsnake for $50, and albinos for $125. Is this about normal, or will I be able to get a better deal at the show?

I've seen normal babies as low as $35, but $45-50 is probably the average price. Albinos expect to pay $100-125

Yea I would say thats about right for a show. I sell them retail for around $80 normals and $170 albinos. Kingsnake is normally about the same price as shows, you just dont have to pay the extra for shipping which is normally about $30-50. The best deals will always be the ones on sunday, most people dont want to take a lot of their animals back with them so they will make some better deals, you just wont get the best of the best.

It is only a one day show, so I'm sure what they have will be good. I'm going to the all cleveland reptile show in cleveland, ohio. Do you know anyone who will be there, or have any suggestions on who not to buy from?

No I don't know of anyone up near ohio. But I would just make sure you do a good examination of the animal before buying. I am sure that multiple vendors will be selling burms, they are extremely common at the shows. Don't buy the first one you see even though you will want to haha. Check out everybody who has burms. Make sure they are nice and plump, not dehydrated, and look very good for mites (under the chin is the easiest place to find them). Also look at the persons other animals. If they have some other species that dont look up to par, chances are that the burms are getting the same treatment.
But overall MOST people selling them SHOULD have good stock. Hope you get a beauty!

I already planed on looking at every table before deciding on one. I did the same when I got my ball at the show a few months ago. I will of course be sure to check for any health problems. I am so excited to get a new little guy. I picked up my enclosure today as well as an acurite. Thermostat and heat mat in the works, but will be here before the new addition. I will be posting lots of pics when I get him home. I just wish they had a list of vendors that will be at the show. The site only gives dates and directions. The only sure thing is rodent pro will be there.

Ouch! I'm glad they have this show every month. Although I have a friend that breeds rats and rabbits, so I shouldn't have any problems with food.

We are selling our albinos for $110 and the hets for $60, but at the show my husband was letting a het/albino pair go for $150. Good luck at the show!
