Chocolate?????
I need your help! Can someone please explain the chocolate morph to me. Like what defines it. I would love some photos with explanations of traits if anyone has them. PLEASE!!!! I have a questionable ball that I need to make a decision on. This particular animal has very dark coloration and very interesting belly. I have no photos

It would be much easier to evaluate your particular snake (based on pics) than to explain what defines a Chocolate. They are VERY variable. One line can look completely different from another. But no matter what, breeding it will be the only way to find out for sure. I'm trying to do the same thing with my dinker female, HOPING she turns out to be a Chocolate, cause I really like them. But even if she doesn't, I have a male Chocolate Pin, so at least I do have the gene in my collection already. Post pics!

Re: Chocolate?????
The Chocolate thread isn't built up much yet...but here is what we have so far in the Morph Guide.

Re: Chocolate?????
I went there already. Actually, I have done a pretty extensive search on the matter and have not come up with much. I will try to get a photo of her today as she just apparently finally shed.

Okay here are the photos.

In person she looks much darker and she seems to have a couple inner alien head squiggles close to the head but I have my doubts based on the photos.

Re: Chocolate?????
Chocolates vary but I don't think she looks like one. The percentage of dark pattern doesn't seem high enough and the black isn't black enough. Here is one I produced this year for comparison:

Also notice the fading toward the back of the head which shows in most of mine. The belly varies but tends to have dark on it (the super belies have lots of dark on them).
