You can build your own rack, and you can order the herpstat on line

If you need the rack, or might need it soon, get the rack. If you're putting ball pythons in it, though, you don't need the ND. You can always get a good bee, there are plenty of people who have them available. Shipping on a rack is likely to be more!

Caging always come first in my opinion...
I never buy animal if i cant provide right care for it first... and right caging is a part of right care..
Of course You can keep balls in tubs tanks and so but.... rack provide you with most constant temperature, humidity and is safest system for You and your animals...

So my vote going to rack plus thermostat

    Re: Hard decision!!!

I would get the herpstat if I were you. You can always buy more snakes once you have the herpstat. As was already stated, it is very important to make sure you have the proper equipement for your animals. I am going to be getting a herpstat myself within the next two weeks. Peace of mind with a reliable thermostat is very important IMO.

Herpstats rock and there's nothing wrong with buying a rack if you are not a DIYer. If you are a DIY you can search my thread on how to build your own XPVC rack for cheap. Proper husbandry is more important than adding more snakes! Best of luck!

    Regards,

    B
