    RTB feeding question

I was looking at my boa Jake and I noticed he looked a little underweight. I talked to the kid that I got him from, and found out he ate a large rat every 2 weeks. When he bends I can pinch a nice chunk of skin on his sides. He's just not as filled in as he should be. Can I up his food intake somehow? I would like to do it in the healthiest way possible. Would 2 jumbo's every 7 days be too much until he fills out?

Maybe start with a large rat every week instead of every 2.
    Can't stop with just one!

    Re: RTB feeding question

I would say he is about 6ft or so and about 5 years old. Kid told me 7 but he doesn't look like a 7 footer to me. Don't have a scale to weigh him. I think large is still to small no? I was gonna say at least a jumbo every week.

What is their idea of a large or a jumbo? A large is a nice size and a jumbo is somewhat too big for a 6-7fter

Well he gave me one that he had left over, and I couldn't even tell he ate...Jumbo's are about as big as he is around, so one every week sounds about right. I kinda figured two large was a bit of overkill. Thanks everyone!

You need to weigh the prey. If a jumbo is as large as he is round then he is a big boy and he would probably enjoy 1 every 7-10 days

I have a 285 gram male rat and my 5-6ft Bci would look like a stuffed sausage if he ate it. A xxxl or jumbo would weigh 500+ grams
