    Gravid or no?

I've never bred my balls before but tried a late breeding for the last 2.5 months or so. My normal female to male bumblebee. I never saw them lock up....but my female is really getting big.

I must admit I wasn't going to try to breed next year. I really didn't think she would take but she is really getting big. She defecated and shed 2 days ago. Now I'm not sure what I'm looking at...she is thickening up and is kinked/lumped up. What do you think?

Have you tried palpating her, to check for follicles?

i didnt end up getting a pic tonight but I was finally able to palpate her without her tensing up. In fact she is crawling in my shirt as we speak. Unfortunately I do not believe there is anything going on here. I think she is just continuing to grow quicly and was laying an odd way. I was a super long shot to be sure.

I will continue to read up and try to learn all i can before I start to breed again next season.
