    When to worry

About two months ago my daughter wanted a ball python so I let her buy one from the local petco. Every thing has been going fine with the snake, and the bp has been eating once a week with no problem. However about two week ago I noticed that the bp's eyes were getting milky in color on feeding day and it would not eat. I should mention that I had a bp as a kid but that was twenty years ago, so when the bp's eyes turned milky in color I new that it was about to shed. About four days ago the bp shed its skin, so we tried feeding the bp again but the bp still wont eat. So my question when do you worry about it not eating. The last time the snake ate was on 7-15-2011.

They can go a long time without eating - I mean a long long time.

In terms of worrying, a week is nothing to worry about.

How old is the snake and how much does she weigh?

When we purchased the bp we were told she was about six months old. When we got her home she weighed 203 grams and about 24 - 25 inches in length. I weighed her yesterday and she weighs 228 grams.
