Jack in one year (uhm... almost one year).
Just wanted to send an update on the bumblebee I hatched last year. He's not the best bee - his sister was actually a "cleaner" bee (and, in my opinion, better looking) than this guy is, but after almost a year, he has turned out to be quite a stunning bp. He has turned a much deeper and brighter yellow which provides great contrast to his "dirt spots". He still has the distinct brownish line down his back just like his pastel mother.
This is a picture from last year (he pipped on July 30, 2010) right after his first shed. He was 65g:

Here he is now at 720g. He shed 3 days ago:

0.1.0 albino bp
1.0.0 bumblebee bp
1.0.0 yellowbelly bp
0.0.1 normal bp
1.0.0 normal western hognose
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I think he looks great, he did look a little odd as a baby.

I love his funky pattern and how high yellow he is.

I have to say, this guy is a monster eater. Hasn't missed a meal since his very first one.
I'm expecting him to go on a fast anytime now - my males seem to go on a fast when they hit 700g.
I'm thinking there's some truth to that spider gene being excellent eaters.

The ugly duckling (not really) has turned into a beautiful breeder sized male. It always amazes me how different all snakes look from hatchlings to adults.
