Advice?
Ok so I cut my het pied clutch today she ovulated 14 days after I got her from her previous owner which he had paired her the year befor with a het pied but for 2-3 weeks befor I got her he paired her with a pied male but in the clutch is two pieds and three normal that would be possible or 100% het for pied but what would they most likely be?

If you don't know, sell them as possible hets.
There is no reason to smear your name (if you choose to make one in the industry) by being unsure.

All 100% het pied I believe.

Edit: BUT like they said, if you're not 100% sure don't sell them as such....I was under the impression you knew for sure the genetics.

What she said ^. If you don't KNOW it for sure, don't claim it. Better people buy poss hets and be happily surprised when they prove, than people buy 100% hets that end up normal.

Since they were bred to a Pied male, that would make them 100% Het Pieds but because she was breed to a Het Pied last year, it's had to say if they are 66% Het Pieds(retained sperm from last year) or 100% Het Pieds! I would sell them as possible Het Pieds and tell buyers the story! They probably are 100% but you really don't want it coming back on you if they are not! If I was looking for a Het Pied, I would buy one because chances are, they are! If you have any ringers, I would sell them as 100% Het! Good luck!

Ringers are not an indicator of the Pied gene... They tend to pop up more often in Hets, but there again is no guarantee.
OP, play it safe. Sell them as possible hets.

That's what I figured I would do but I do believe they are 100% but I don't want my name to look bad if I do decide to sell them as 100% gets I will garentee genetics as I do with any 100% hey but I just wanted to see what everyone else would do

If you guarantee genetics, what kind of guarantee will you offer if they don't prove out?
That seems like a hard buy for a person trusting you to provide an animal that is 100% het.
If three years from now that person doesn't get any Pieds out of the breedings of your animal, there is a LOT to make up for for all of that lost time.

I try to do the best possible when I garentee my genetics example if some one where to buy one and it did not prove out then I would do one of three things offer an exchange of the animals for another animal of higher value, refund money and they keep the animal or they keep the animal and I give a pair of lower value animals and this would be up to the customer

This is the best advise. People who are "accused" of selling fake hets do not recover their reputation very quickly or at all....
If you are unsure, Selling as possible hets is the only way.
