help with shed in rack
My pinstripe male is starting to go into shed. This will be the first one of my snakes to shed since I built and switched them into a rack. My question is , aside from the humidity being correct, (it's at 68% right now) does anybody put anything extra like a small branch in the tubs to help them have something to rub on? Thanks.

I don't have anything but hides and a water dish in my rack systems and have never had a troubling shed

Everyone here has already said it but there's nothing wrong with misting your paper a few times a day. My humidity is around 60% all the time but I still mist when I know they are going to shed. I haven't had a single bad shed yet.

I haven't had a single problem with my snakes shedding since I moved them into a rack. It's like magic!
That, and the tubs seem to hold the perfect amount of moisture.
Mine have a plastic hide, a water bowl, and newspaper substrate. I don't mist and the only additional moisture in any of my tubs is the water my het pied slops around when she's positioning herself so that she can crap in her water bowl.

I push the water bowls back over the UTH so it jacks the humidity up, I normally get one piece sloppy wet sheds
No hides, just water bowl, paper towel and

Good point Jerry. I move my waterbowls over the tape too. Totally forgot about that

I keep the water bowl on the end opposite the heat tape.
My sheds normally look like a small crumpled up ball, moist enough that I can pull them out straight but not slimy.
