Regurgitation Advice?
When Feeding My JCP The Other Day He Regurgitated His Rat, I've spoken to some people I know, and heard that sometimes it can be to do with temperature in the vivarium. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas as to what may have happened to contribute to this, it's the first time in 4 months and I've hardly changed anything, thanks.

It could be to do with temperature as you were told, or it could be stress, or even illness/parasites. Double check your husbandry, give the snake a good 2 weeks and then try and feed it again. If the snake regurges a second time, then a trip to the vet may be in order to check for parasites.

It was a F/t rat as live aren't allowed in my country and about half an hour maybe a bit longer.

Also he didn't have a particularly great shed last time around about 6 weeks ago, so this time I've been trying to keep his humidity higher would this have contributed?

Did you leave any stuck skin on him? Even if it isn't in a vital area or just a patch, he might just be bugged by that. Otherwise I don't think humidity would cause him any problems with regurg. Could it have maybe been something to do with the feeder? Did you thaw it out a different way than normal, or thaw it out for longer than normal, get it from a different source, etc?

I'm wondering if it was a bad feeder. That's the reason I asked about live or f/t. I'm presuming you live in the UK?

Nope I bathed him and removed it all the day after he finished shedding. Nope I use the same source everytime, I had a stock of ten rats all from the same shop but the last one was the only one which it has happened with, and I usually leave it out over night to thaw and do it after I've woken up so there really isn't a huge change in what I've been doing.

Yeah I live in the uk, I've never really heard about bad feeders before if I'm honest.

It might just be a freak occurance, you never know. Skip the next scheduled feeding and try again on the one after that, and see how it goes. If it doesn't hAppen again, it might have been nothing. If it does happen again, then it might warrant a vet visit.
