    I increased the size today

When I got Cleo my female she was being feed pinkies. Three year old and still eating pinkies. I switched her to hoppers and she ate them. Today I gave her a mouse. She struck at it and then released it. Flicked tongue at it a couple of times and seemed to be sizing it up. Finally started eating it. Will feed her another mouse next week and then go up to a small rat slowly working my way up to what she should be eating and getting her to proper weight.

Male struck at mouse and ate with no problem. Next week he goes up to small rat as he seems to be ready to eat larger and he is slightly bigger then her. Less then one minute from time prey was put in to time it was struck.

Conditions are improving in both tanks, humidity is climbing as are temps. Cypress put in large cage today and will put rest in smaller one tomorrow.

Have many of you to thank for talking me through this. Will post some photos of models with the snakes.

Congrats! My baby BP was 4 months old and they were feeding him one pinky every 4 days. Now he is eating small mice every 5 days.

Congrats! sounds like a good transition, and I can't imagine feeding any snake bigger than a ringneck or garter pinkies for that long! I hope she's healthy enough from such a wierd diet, though i bet she'll be doing much better from now on!
