    tub question

I'm thinking about switching from a tank to a tub. Are the clips that come on the tub good enough to hold in a ball python without a rack around it?

Nope. To be safe I use binder clips, some people use luggage straps. I'd use something because they can push their way out if it's not secured in the right areas.

I have 12 ball pythons in tubs with lids in no rack and they cant get out. just make sure you buy ones that snap down really good or they will escape.

I have some 12/15qt tubs w/locking handles never had an escape. Now as far as the 28qt tubs go, mine are the old style sterlite (no locking handles), I found a use for all my ex's 5# & 10# weights that were taking up space.

Never trust the larger locking lid tubs, they are not escape proof and anyone who thinks they are hasn't found out the hard way "yet"

I've had escapes from the 40qt ultra and the 34qt sterilite locking lid tubs.
The smaller ones seem pretty secure but the larger ones are "an escape waiting to happen" if they aren't secured in the middle.
