why is she always on the warm side?

My BP is almost always on the warm side of my tank. My tank is kind of large, its 30" long and 16" wide, so I have a heat lamp in the middle of the tank to increase ambient air temps and heat pads under both sides of the tank. My warm side is b/w 92-94 degress and my cool side is 82-85 degrees. My cool side heat pad is hooked up to a dimmer to keep the temps low. Is this normal behavior for a young BP? I think she is only 4-5 months old.
