signs of comfort and stress

trying to learn more about ball python behaviour, so anything would be helpful.

stress---your BP out and all over the enclosure.

Comfort--a hiding BP you never see except for feeding day.

also, if anyone could give me input on how my snake is behaving would be appreciated, during the day he is almost always in his hide, will come out for a little bit, then go back into one of his hides, and night he will hide for a while, come out and look around for a bit, then hide again. when handled, he will start balled up, then within a minute or so start to try to explore, do that for a while then settle down and just chill out.

Just like the poster above stated. Daytime cage roaming and feeding refusals are very good indicators of stress.

A comfortable BP is one that stays hidden most of the day, except for the occassional drink of water or switching hides to thermoregulate.

Sounds normal to me...

ur BP sounds fine. dont worry. he balls up cuz hes scared but relaxes when he realizes ur not a threat. it will go away in time as he grows and gets used to handling. by his behavior id say your doing things right

and yea, i'm not really worried about him, just with this being my first snake i want to be sure that i am doing everything right.

Really..what can i do to help my ball? She seems stressed. My male is doing fine but she is roaming around her cage often and is refusing food. Do I just leave her alone for about a week?

Make sure all your husbandry is correct.... Thats about it honestly.
