    Vet Visit

Just got back from the vet with Loki...

He's great, and he's gained 20g since I got him, bringing him up to 920g

He said he was glad to see Loki was eating good, and did say adding another mouse weekly wouldn't hurt for a couple weeks, then switching to a rat pinky, since even small rats seem to scare Loki... I'm glad I brought Loki's log with me too, since it kept the visit shorter and less stressful for Loki (He wasn't happy after the vet checked his mouth out... he stayed in a semi strike position for a few minutes after that, aimed at the vet...)

I can't say enough how much I love this vet and I really hope that when my bf gets his first duty station after Basic Training and Tech School, he gets one of the bases near here so we can continue to use him as a vet.

He dosen't like rats, or he's afraid of them. Which I'm not sure of.

I tried feeding him a young rat the other day, and he showed interest, 30min later, he hadn't touched it (he's on live currently) and he kept backing away from it if it moved. (This was after the rat jumped to try and get out, landing on his head...)

So, I'm going to try with rat fuzzies or pinks in a couple weeks, since he seems to prefer them to freeze in fear. Hopefully this means he'll be good when I switch him to F/T after I switch him to rats. He was on mice when I got him about a month ago.

    Nothing wrong with smaller meals.

You don't need to get a bulge every time you feed him.
