    Questions on shipping reptiles

To those of you who ship reptiles, do you prefer Ship Your Reptiles or just FedEx and why? (I know SYR ships through FedEx.) Or do you go with some other company?

Also, does registering with SYR require any payment? And is it necessary to get certified when using SYR?

I am considering getting FedEx certified so I can ship a few snakes and baby geckos. I have read about the process but I'm also curious (and confused) about SYR. If anyone has words of wisdom that would be great.

I use both depending on who can give me a better rate.

Nope free to register and no need to get certified.

Get certified to many people got left out in the wind when SYR got shut down for a while.. So it's better to have a back up plan..

Okay, I will get certified when I start producing hatchlings, but for now I have one or two snakes that I may need to ship. For a one-time shipping ordeal, are there any cons to not getting certified?

The only con is that you're relying on a third party for your shipping. Everything is good to go as long as SYR is still able to ship.. but they just got that ability back because people were abusing the privilege.
