    He's growing up so fast!

    I had Julius out last night before bed and he's just getting so big! He's the first snake I have owned, and the start of this whole crazy addiction. He's wildtype and has an awesome personality. I also refer to him as my garbage disposal because he'll eat any time I offer. He's doubled in size since I've had him. I love him to pieces! He just shed 2 days ago so I had to take some pictures
    Here is when I first got him

    And here is last night, sorry for the low lighting. He has some awesome blushing on his back that seems to be getting more pronounced with each shed, and his pattern blows my mind

    Thanks for looking, he's the love of my life and the most priceless snake I own

    nice...
    i know about that getting more pronounced with each shed...
    my mojo girl just shed and i wanna admire her every time i go near her terrarium
    but i have to force myself not to cuz i know she wouldnt appreciate it, haha.
    with the last 2 sheds specifically her blushing has gotten brighter, her head blushing has actually lightened up & her flames have browned out some...
    with this last shed everything i just mentioned is still how it is but now it looks like someone took a really fat black marker & outlined all of her markings - blushing, dorsal spots & alien heads...& its not just black...its : BLACK! love it! oh i just wanna give her a big 'ol bear hug!
    but i know she'd be like ----> .

    ok anyways sorry i your thread
    my point is i'm agreeing with you on how much more gorgeous our scaley babies are in their new skins.

    Julius is just adorable! I have a male normal that is just a little over a year old and he weighs 1094 grams! I have had him since he only weighed 98 grams. It has been an awesome experience watching him grow under my care.

    He was 212 grams about 2 weeks after I got him (took me that long to get a scale) and his last weight was taken 4/25 and he was 305, but he has to be pushing 500 grams now, I'll have to take his weight tonight before I feed him. He eats like a champ He has shed twice since his last weight taken.

    You are doing good with him.
    I know the feeling, 2 of our rescues were around 200g when we got them and now they are pushing 700-800g and we have only had they for about 6 months
