    What kind of het pied?

Alright. I am thinking about what kind of snakes to get next, and I know I want to get a piebald and a het pied. Then I got to thinking. . . what if I got a morph that was 100% het pied instead of a normal.

So, what type of het pieds would you all choose?

I would like it to look visually different than a normal, so I'm thinking about some different things here ....
I am thinking about albino het pied .... Maybe a pinstripe het pied ... Don't really want a spider or pastel right now ...

Anyway, the budget ... say something that is comparable to a piebald or less, preferably less but its okay either way.

Let's say anywhere from 200-1000 as the budget for this snake.

Also, would it be wise to get the female as the piebald or the female as the het?

    Anyway, thanks!

Maybe a bee het pied ...

Gosh I can't find any of those though

Forgot to mention, want a hatchling for now! That helps on the price.

The gold pied is a mojave/pied ball python. You make it by breeding a Mojave het pied to a het pied or pied. There is one on this forum. I am using my blackberry.

You might be better off buying a male pied and producing your own hets if you have adult morph females.

Nope, no adult morph females, just one normal female. That's a good thought though ... could just get a normal morph and produce a het ... hmm. That would be okay with me! Gosh, I love the bees and the xanthics.

I wonder... I could get a axanthic (probably out of my budget but hypothetical) and breed to pied, and get a 100% het snake and breed it back to where I'd eventually get a pied axanthic ....

That would take a while ^_^

Still have lots of thinking to do.

Want to at least get one het for pied snake for pied babies though. They are my favorite. Which is why I wanted to get a het pied morph

I think it's a good idea, but the budget is really going to limit you. You can't easily find an albino het pied or even pinstripe het pied for that kind of money. Double het albino pied, sure, but albino het pied?

Also, the albino is recessive, so you won't see any albino babies again for at least two generations, unless you also buy a piebald het albino. Lots of money, but not a bad investment.

I do like the way the pinstripe plays with pied. It doesn't seem to make an all-white snake, and it reduces pattern/increases color. I might even save up for pinstripe het pied AND a pastel het pied, both female, and then buy the pied male in a year. Lemon blast pied project!

True that, I didn't look at pricing until later on tonight ... finally found a couple of those combos and they weren't cheap

Perhaps I will get not only a normal het pied to get possible pied babies, but another morph as well to play with. I am heavily looking at the bees. Love them. Will most likely get a pied male, as this is the most expensive morph I am seeking, and then get a het pied female and a something female ....
