    BP drinking underwater

My poor Super Pastel girl had a bad shed last night so I soaked her earlier today.
While soaking she decided to take a nice long drink, I thought it looked pretty cool and just wanted to share:

Bad shed? Long drink while soaking? Sounds like snake might be dehydrated to me...how is the humidity levels in tank?

I keep all my enclosures at 50%. I usually bump it up to about 80% when I see someone going blue but I didn't notice her blue before this last shed.

Actually, I have observed that my ball pythons, although they rarely take a drink, when they do I see them take really long ones they just sit over there and go at it for quite a while. My humidity is pretty high, 60-70%. I don't think a long drink is much of a sign of dehydration, its just time for a drink, and just like when they eat, when they drink its not a daily sip, its a months worth they have to gulp down.

That is cool. It's funny you posted that because my daughter's normal will drink while your holding him. When we put him back in his enclosure, after having him out for a while, we have to pass him over the water bowl to put him back. Lately, while I am moving over the bowl I just let him slide on his own out of my hands he will stop and get a long drink first and then continue to slide out of my hands and go into his hide spot.
