    First escape

I had to take Satin in to the vet last Saturday, but I had been spending the weekend at my boyfriends' house (he lives right up the road so I'd come back once a day to check on the girls) so we had to come back to my house to get her. We opened one side of the tub: she wasn't there; so I opened the other side of the tub and looked in her hide: she wasn't there. I'm immediately freaking out, thinking my snake's loose in the house, and that we won't find her and have to miss our appointment. I checked under EVERYTHING, looking in the closet, under my bed, checking behind her tub. As I'm looking under the bed my boyfriend goes, "There she is!", so I'm looking under the bed thinking she's under there, until I turn to face the mini-fridge by my bed and lo-and-behold, there's Satin, poking her head out from underneath it like "You lookin' for me?"

I got lucky that she decided to see what all the fuss was about, I would've never thought she could get under there. Needless to say, we put three bungee cords on it (in the middle and on each end), so it's nice and tight and there's NO WAY for her to get out now. We're still not entirely sure how she got out in the first place! I'm just glad my first lost snake was found in a matter of minutes, but it was still one of the most nerve-racking feelings ever. All's well that ends well though.

I'm glad you found her right away.

It's a horrible feeling when you realize they are missing and even worse when you can't find them right away.
