    how long??

I just purchased a new RTB. I was wondering how long i should go without handling her because I have read that it adds more stress to the snake on top of the re location itself??

Let her settle in for about a week.

Boas aren't BPs so you generally don't need to wait a full week, but every snake is different. The breeder I got mine from said to wait at least a day. I gave her 2 days and then I started handling her and she was fine with it. They will let you know if they are not happy with being bothered.

Yes, boas are not as nervous or as easily stressed as BPs. However, each snake is an individual. I handled my baby from day one, but I would generally recommend waiting a day or two and then only handle for maybe a few minutes at a time for the next couple days. Once he's eaten his first meal for you, then handle away! Many boas seem to enjoy the interaction.... Peaches was handled from day one and ate her very first f/t meal ever (she ate live for the breeder) 3 days later.
