Had to share pictures of this boy before he leaves tomorrow!

A coworker of mine has a son who turns 4 next weekend and she wanted to get him an inexpensive birthday gift since she's going through a bit of a rough spot. Her son was wanting a dinosaur, lol, but she thought a rat was much more doable and she really likes rats herself.

He's such a cutie, and so calm!

Just for fun, what exactly are his markings called? Capped/miss matched possum faced??? His color is kind of funny, almost blue roan, but I'm pretty sure it's just black.

Re: Had to share pictures of this boy before he leaves tomorrow!

I'd say due to the silvering in the hair, he's a dalmatian. Which is also causing him to appear "blue roan". The silvering isn't typical silvering you'd see in a rat, it's caused from the dalmatian gene. It can make a black marked rat appear blue or even silver.

Anyway, very cute baby. I have a dalmatian line that throws babies that are very similar!

His mom is a dalmatian of sorts, so you are probably spot on.
