So, I woke up today & found my Normal Laying Eggs. Since I have to go to work, I guess, its ok to let it be, and grab the eggs when Im back home.
12-Hours plus later (Im 12-Hours shift duty), I came to a tightly coil mama.
After grabbing the mama, by putting a towel over her. (My 1st time doing this, also my 1st time breeidng) I found 6 eggs. All are sticking & looks good.
Marking the tops with a sharpie.
Weighting Eggs.
The problem. My Egg container height is my concern. My eggs is touching the lid. Here's a few pictures.
Another angle.
Im expecting a few more clutch, so I can prevent this from happening by buying a tall container. But now, since I got the egg container all warm-up in the incubator a head of time. I just incubate the eggs, and asking you gurus on this.
Hope to hear advices. Thanks.
Ps. Im using a substrate-less method. Using vermiculite with egg light crate on top. The dampen moss, is just to prevent the eggs from rolling, if it ever rolls. The moss is from the egg-laying box that i gave to mama, I figure rather than throwing it away, i have a use for it.
My incubator is set at 31.5C (88.7F). It swing between 31.2C (88.2F) and 31.6C (88.9F)
