1400g spider eating like a mad man

I recently got a spider female around 1400g and i fed her 2 f/t small rats yesterday... and today i got in 1. clown .1 100% het clown a pair of 100% het caramel albinos.... so i figured id try to give em a shot see if they were hungry at all... of course they wouldnt eat lol I didnt want to waste the rats and didnt know until now you can re freeze after thawed out once.... she ate the 4 small rats..... and she was still "searching for more" my question is since i will be breeding her this year should i feed her more than once every 6-9 days? from alot of pictures of reputable breeders i have seen..... all their bp's are very thick and i dont want her to be so skinny after her "fasting"

Not a good idea. I did this with my BP when I first got him. I fed him one day after another...he was a pig. Now a month later, he's not eating. It catches up with them, and they stop eating. Plus its unhealthy to feed them that often, because it makes them grow too fast.

1 f/t a week, thats no bigger than the widest part on your bp, is enough. Some can do 2. But you shouldn't exceed that.

Well just to be sure the rats arent too small for it, weigh them.

im sure a medium rat and a couple small rats a week once in a while isnt too bad for her as long as her scales dont stretch out she should be fine shes prob trying to bulk up for me this season

I would definitely give her larger rats if she will take four at a time. I feed my 500gram balls small rats.

i start my baby balls out of the egg on small adult mice and by the time they are 300-400 grams they are on small rats. your snake probably needs a larger food item imho.

pick the thickest part of the snakes body and find a rat the same thickness....then feed it to the snake...lol
