banana?

I was looking at some BP's on a German website and they are selling really low priced Banana ball pythons. But the thing is... they all look like this:

Yes. It might be something else that they call banana though. Kind of like in Europe they have tigers but they arn't ench deserts.

yeah on the info of one of them they say its the 'european version' of a banana...
Tough i think you shouldn't call it a banana then where's the creativity???

Yeah, I remember there being a genetic-reduced pattern sort of critter that some folks were calling "banana." I think it was mainly in Europe. If I'm thinking of the right thing, it can actually make some pretty cool combos (then again, I love the reduced-pattern stuff ). Definitely not as screaming as the coral glow / banana, though.

Edit: Also, I could be totally making this up, but if I recall correctly they were named concurrently and independently, and developed for awhile before the originators became aware of the "American version" of the banana. So, like the "hidden gene woma," the name is probably just gonna have to stick ...

You could be right Serpent_Nirvana, cause the site I saw the pics on is pretty reliable. That's the reason i found this odd.

If it is so, does anybody have pictures of combo's of this 'european' banana ball?
I'm starting to get really curious now

Asked the breeder, he said:

so far we just had Banana Lessers. They was bright yellow Lessers, bit like
Woma Lessers.
This year I bred that Lesser Banana back to the Banana. Eggs incubating.
Will post it when hatched.
Also had that Banana to Tiger (reduced pattern) balls and all got Bananas /
reduced pattern.

There were tigers in the states long before the enchi/desert combo came around. Also, I was under the impression the European banana was called that before the whitesmoke/coral glow got tagged with the banana name.

I can't stand that the "Tiger" that is just a banded or whatever it is is called that, I mean, It's a reduced pattern snake and that's it. The hobby as a whole has decided that a Tiger is a enchi x desert, so that other morph should just get another name... is it even really a morph? There are so many other names that we can choose for these things, why are we already doubling up the names? I mean... if we can go as crazy as "Casper ugly moo moo pants" i'm sure we can come up with proper names for these "other" snakes that pretty much lost their name to higher profile animals.
