it was my first snake, A common red corn snake i purchased from B&B for $65...

I liked him, he was adorable, and I named him Bacon.
and he started a new hobby of mine, within a month now ive also aquired a ball python. and my girlfriend got her own black motley baby, and a yearling Green Tree Python.


we used a terrarium that opened on on the side and had a latching screen at the top. My girlfriend took him out from the top because he was in his tree, and I didn't know, and put him back in through the side... The top wasn't completely latched, only on one side, and.... Now he's gone u_u

Another good reason all our other snakes are in tubs.

Anyways,
Ive layed corn starch at all my doorways, and put plastic bags agaisnt the walls for noise factor, but due to the holes in my appartments walls I have a feeling he's gone.

Is it normal to be so torn up about this?
and should i lay a low setting heating pad down on a blanket and put it in a corner and check it nightly?
