    Breeding phase question..

So my female pastel ovulated back in early May, pre-lay shed May 20th, and now she is chilling on the warm side. Obviously she was huge during the ovulation, but her size has gone down substantially since then. I know this is normal, but with eggs supposed to be coming 2 weeks from today, what should I expect? I've read Mark and Jayne's website a million times but as this is my first eggperience (ya like what I did with that??.. bahaha), what else should I expect?

I'm just so paranoid! I don't want to lose any eggs! Is there a possibility that the follicles were reabsorbed after the ovulation? Or once the pre-lay occurs are you pretty guaranteed to get something, whether it be slugs or eggs?

Once they ovulate something is going to come out.

Yes I would say you should be getting something if there was a definite ov. Watch for them to get uncomfortable, ridge back, and puffy butt. Also, I agree to hope they come on schedule or it will drive ya half nuts playing the waiting game. Good luck.

Ah, if you waited three years the what is a couple more weeks! LOL! After ovy it takes 2 weeks to have a prelay shed! After the prelay shed it can take at least 4 weeks to even 6 weeks! They are all different! The earliest I have heard is 26 days after prelay shed! You still are a little ways away from getting some eggs! It is a long process! Good luck and be very patient!

Good luck! And be ready! I messed up and didn't think my girl was gonna lay. She didn't seem to be gravid and being my first season I was not ready.
I had to get an incubator online and had to leave her with her eggs for 2 days.
