Males losing weight

So I started breeding in the middle of April, my male was at a good 1000 grams. He's now starting to look skinny and around 856grams. He's been eating but as of two weeks now he's stopped. Should I stop the breeding? My female has stopped eating and I can most def feel follicles. I just wonder if his work is down

I meant April.... Sorry. I really think I bred them for two months straight really. With breaks of course

One male to one female, I throw him in for 3 days take him out for 3 or 4 days. I see at least two locks to one good one that can last for 28 hours

If he is only mating the one female, after he locks the first day paired, remove him to give him more rest time, remember the females can store sperm.

Keep an eye on his weight. If keeps dropping weight at that pace I would stop breeding him and hope he got the job done. 150 grams in a month and a half still seems like a lot. Something to keep in mind for the future. I normally keep my males pretty lean so they don't get lazy. If I have a male that I know stops eating during breeding I will usually try to pack on a little weight during September and October.

that weight lose seems a little excessive my male started breeding in nov. he stopped eating 2 months ago and he only lost 50 grams just be careful i've heard they will breed them selves to death

If you are only breeding one female than there is not really any reason to have the male in with her so often. Any more than one or two locks a month is just a waste of time and puts more stress than needed on the male.
