    what now?

Ok so Im not sure what I should be pricing my snakes at but Ive sold normal females a year old at 60 to a friend but Ive never sold morphs lol so I put a female 3 year old genetic reduced pattern for 100 but everyone is saying thats too much and a caramel albino 09 female for 400 is too expensive?? I understand some people dont understand morphs or ball pythons for that matter but are they really that bad of prices?

    Re: what now?

    Hi,

How much does the caramel albino weigh?

But no I think those are pretty good prices. Try explaining to them why the genetic banded female is worth more than a regular normal.

The things she would bring to enchi's, bumblebees and pastels would make me want to keep her for a start.

What are the gentics of it?

Those prices are not too much. The people telling you that must not be BP hobbyists or they would think those are awesome prices.

If it's friends who know nothing about BPs telling you this, that's normal. Just direct them to the many classifieds and breeders sites. They will see what the prices are.

Someone has claimed $400 for a 2009 female caramel albino is "TOO EXPENSIVE"?!?!

I haven't seen caramels around in a while, and I'd say that from the lack of relative availability (compared to other base morphs, particularly recessives), and her age, she could easily fetch $1000-2500.

Ya I think 400 for a Carmel is way too inexpensive. Unless she has some major defect. I bought both my caramels for 1400.00 and 1800.00

For a kinked animal, that would kill the market price imo, I have seen a few kinked caramels for sale here and there but ultimately it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for her.

Whoever is giving you this pricing advice doesn't know what they're talking about, or is trying to cheat you out of your animals. You should be able to get around $250 or more for an adult reduced pattern female. As for the caramel albino, the kink will have a significant effect on the price, but a perfect one that size is worth over $1000 easily.

gorgeous caramel but unfortunately a kink is a kink whether its a mild kink or a train wreck. The few I have seen for sale with kinks here and there havent been anywhere near market value.
